Transitional Ideas for Art

1. Work with computers to do art work.

2. Share art work with a friend.

3. Work at learning centers.

4. Do craft work. (Knit, braid, crochet, sew, or do crafts from country being studied.)

5. Carve.

6. Use a sketch pad to draw.

7. Use flash cards with information about art.

8. Illustrate stories written in other areas of the curriculum.

9. Look at works of art done by famous artists.

10. View art-related video tapes.

11. Practice drawing a particular type of item so that skills may be developed.

12. Study about a particular period in art.

13. Create art objects from recycled materials.

14. Listen to music and create works of art to go with the music.

15. Look for patterns and designs in the environment.
