Characters' feelings change as a story progresses. A dial-a-face puppet can be used to show these changes in mood.
Divide a circular region into eight sections. Draw a face with a different expression on each segment. Attach tabs to the edge and write words that describe the feelings on them. Make another piece of tagboard that is the same size. Cut a hole the size of the face over the area where the drawings have been done on this second piece of tagboard.
Turn the wheel to the appropriate face as a story is told.
