Map and Globe Skills

The ability to use and read a map involves knowledge of concepts and terms. These labels are related to the skills of orienting a map, noting directions, locating places, using scales and symbols, making comparisons and understanding relative location.

A variety of computer programs assist learners with basic terms and then help them apply the knowledge to learning about spacial relationships on Earth.
