A Yearly Plan to Teach the News
What topics are likely to be in the news throughout the year? Teachers can plan to integrate news throughout all curricular areas; if appropriate, special times may be designated on a daily or weekly basis. Special units can be developed for the appropriate age levels.
Where might news be taught in each teaching situation? Examine the pattern of curricular organization for the teaching of the news and decide how and where it might fit on a yearly plan.

10. What news programs are a part of my life? How can these be related to my units?
